Dr Serena Keating

Dr Serena Keating

Dr Keating graduated from the University of Queensland and spent 4 years working for Queensland Health in a number of rural and remote areas. Serena is experienced in all areas of general practice. Serena has a special interest in cosmetic medicine and skin cancer checks and surgery and has also recently been approved by CASA to perform Aviation Medicals.  Serena has 2 small children and understands the pressures on working mothers.

Appointments with Dr Keating are available on Monday, Tuesday,  Thursday and Friday.

Dr Garry Hartrick

Dr Hartrick is a graduate from Melbourne University and has over thirty years experience in medicine. Garry moved to Cairns in 1984 and has an interest in heart care and rehabilitation after heart attack. Garry performs skin cancer surgery and stitching wounds. He enjoys care for the elderly, men’s health and pregnancy care.

Appointments with Dr Hartrick are available Monday through to Friday.


Dr Susan McDonald

Dr McDonald graduated from Sydney University in 1975 and has since then worked in rural and urban areas.  Sue has also worked in Jeddah Saudi Arabia and is familiar with Islamic cultures.  Sue is particularly interested in aged care, menopause problems, pregnancy care and children.  Sue has a Masters degree in General Practice from Monash University and is an examiner for the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GP’s.

Appointments with Dr McDonald are available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every second Friday.

Dr Sean Sullivan

Dr Sullivan graduated from James Cook University in Townsville and has spent several years in rural and remote areas.  He has lived in Cairns for nearly 10 years.  He has special interest in men’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease and sexual health.

Appointments with Dr Sullivan are available Monday through to Thursday.

Dr Sean Sullivan

Dr Elena Downs

Dr Downs graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009. She worked for Queensland Health for many years including 7 years as an adult and paediatric neurosurgical service registrar throughout Queensland. The birth of her first child prompted her move to General Practice. Ellie is experienced in all areas of medicine. She is particularly interested in neurological and spinal conditions, surgical optimization, women’s health, paediatrics and pregnancy care. Ellie performs minor procedures including excisions and suturing.

Appointments available with Dr Downs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Dr Eric Ti Ma

Dr Eric Ma graduated from the University of Queensland in 2017 and worked for Queensland Health before moving to General Practice.
He enjoys all areas of medicine and has particular interests in Children’s and Women’s Health.

Appointments available with Dr Ma on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
