Appointment Information

Our standard appointments are 10 – 15 minutes. If you require more time please ask for a double appointment. Double appointments are usually needed for 3 or more problems, minor surgery, complex problems and mental health initial appointments. Please let your doctor know about the most serious problem first. We may ask you to return for a second appointment if it seems time is running out so that other patients are not left waiting.

If you think you need an urgent appointment, the receptionist will ask you to talk to our nurse to work out the most appropriate plan.

If you or a person with you is experiencing a life threatening emergency, such as chest pain or breathing difficulty, hang up and call the ambulance on 000. All Queensland residents are covered for ambulance transport to hospital.

Home Visits

These are available for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending our surgery. Home visits are only available within 5km of the surgery. Day time home visits are free for residents of The Parks, New Horizons, Heritage Gardens and the RSL village. For other visits, a fee will be charged above the Medicare rebate. Please contact reception to arrange appointments.

After Hour Service

Please contact the after hours number on 0402 614 432. For emergencies call the ambulance on 000.

Failure To Attend Appointments

Please advise as soon as possible if you can’t attend your appointment. If you miss an appointment twice without advising us, a fee of $60 will be charged. You will not be able to be seen again until the fee is paid.
